Having spent over a decade designing remodeling projects has given me the opportunity to see what design decisions endure over time. I’ve worked on a significant number of houses built in the early 1900s as well as every time period between then and now. As I’m working with clients I’m always paying attention to what past design choices have endured and which choices ended up being part of a passing fad. I’m always aware that my choices as a designer have broad reaching impacts and I hope that decades from now people are happy with the choices I’ve made.
